I have been to MANY gem mine all over NC, Tennessee, Virginia, etc, and this is my favorite! You get the best assortment, and not just little bitty stones, either. Prices are much lower than other places, too! We've been going here for years, and even brought home buckets to do a birthday party and done a birthday party there at the park. Bonus is that you have an entire beautiful park to enjoy that includes a small zoo, nature center, playground, train, paddle boats, and list goes on! Prices on other stuff range from a few dollars to free. Oh, and they have a campground! (Check out Dan Nicholas Park) Love this park and this gem mine!
Pros: Reasonably priced, good assortment of gems, located in a really nice park with lots of fun things to do for kids.
