Il Colosseo Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

Il Colosseo is operated and managed by Teo Scotto. Teo and his family are from a small town on the outskirts of Naples, called Monte di Procida.

Teo's passion for food and everything taking place in the kitchen began at an early age, observing his mother and grandmother as they prepared their fantastic family meals. His professional career started in Naples, Italy, working in local Italian restaurants and wonderful pizzerias, during this "hands on” period he learned the art of Pizza. He later came to the United States always working in Italian Restaurants and Pizzerias.

Today, with Teo's refined skills and years of experience, he is here at Il Colosseo in Salisbury, NC, where he, his brother-in-law, Francesco (who attended a renown culinary school and also worked in local restaurants and pizzerias in Naples, Italy), and his wife, Salventa (Sal), who always has a smile on her face, to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Together they share the tradition and passion it takes serve fresh authentic Italian meals. Anytime, any day, you are sure to find Teo, Francesco, or Sal at Il Colosseo Restaurant of Salisbury.
