Description
HFHK has a long term goal of one day providing funds for the entire food budget of an orphanage in India, that we refer to as Jyothi's Home for Children. This orphanage was founded in 1997 by Jyothi Reddi, an India native. I met Jyothi in college here in the US in the late '80s. He has ministered in India for many years since returning in 1989. He has a heart for helping children. The plight of poor or abandoned children in India is terrible. Jyothi came face to face with two such children in his weekly travels as he ministered to poor villages. He started the orphanage out of his small meager home and today has 500 children that he and his family care for. He provides an education, food, shelter, clothing and lots of love to all the children of his house. All of the work of this orphanage has come through private donations.
